These terms govern your use of the GoMando app ("the app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use GoMando on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial purpose of learning Chinese vocabulary. You may not copy, reverse engineer, redistribute, or resell the app or its content.

In-app purchase

GoMando offers one optional in-app purchase, Unlock All Words, which unlocks the full vocabulary catalogue. It is a single, one-time payment — not a subscription, and it does not auto-renew or recur. The price shown at purchase, in your local currency, is charged once through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

What the purchase covers is the word library: every word in the catalogue, and unlimited practice with it. It does not cover features we may add to the app later.

What Unlock All Words always includes

• Access to the full word library is permanent. We will not revoke it, sunset it, or move it behind a further payment.
• You will never have to take out a subscription to keep using what you already bought.
• You can restore it on any device signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account.

Future features and subscriptions

Features we build beyond the word library may be sold separately, including as a subscription. They are not part of the Unlock All Words purchase. If and when we offer such a subscription, its price, billing period, renewal behaviour, and the exact features it covers will be shown before you buy it, and buying it will always be optional — everything Unlock All Words covers stays available to you without it. As a thank-you, we intend to offer everyone who bought Unlock All Words before that launch a discount on their first year.

Optional online services

GoMando works offline, and every feature described above runs on your device. We may later offer optional services that connect to a server or to a cloud account — for example, syncing your progress across your devices. Any such service is opt-in: it does nothing until you turn it on, and everything the app does for you today keeps working if you never do. While you use one, you are responsible for keeping the account or device it is tied to secure and for the content you sync through it. We may change or discontinue an optional online service, and will give reasonable notice before withdrawing one you are actively using. What data such a service processes, and on what legal basis, is set out in our Privacy Policy as it stands when the service is offered.

Refunds

All payments are processed by Apple or Google. Refund requests are handled entirely through their standard refund policies and support channels — we do not process payments or refunds ourselves.

Vocabulary content

GoMando's vocabulary data is drawn from openly licensed sources; see the app's licenses screen (Settings → Licenses) for attribution. We do our best to keep definitions, pinyin, and translations accurate, but the app is a study aid and not a substitute for professional translation or instruction.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may update or discontinue the app at any time; any purchase you already made remains yours to restore on the same platform (Apple ID or Google account) per Apple's and Google's own policies. If we ever discontinue the app, we will not first remove access to content you already paid for.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Apple-specific terms

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for the app.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we'll update this page and revise the date above.
